Worship at The Cathedral School

At The Cathedral School, collective worship is a central and cherished part of our daily routine. Each day, all children and staff come together to share in a time of worship, rooted in our core Christian values of Courage, Hope, Compassion, and Wisdom.

Our worship time is an opportunity to reflect, grow spiritually and explore how we can live out our school vision in practical and meaningful ways. We do this by engaging with Bible teachings, the life of Jesus, and the message of God’s word. Children are encouraged to participate actively—sharing their thoughts, asking questions, and deepening their understanding of faith and values.

Worship at The Cathedral School includes:

  • Each week, we hold an Achievement of the Week Worship, celebrating the successes and efforts of our pupils across the school.

  • Singing Worship is a lively and uplifting part of our worship, with songs that bring joy and energy to our school day. We especially enjoy action songs and regularly sing music from iSingPOP, a programme we’ve proudly taken part in.

  • The Cathedral clergy regularly lead worship in school.

  • Our children enjoy opportunities to take part in special services at the Cathedral throughout the year—often leading prayers, readings, or singing.
